Since the 1970s, limestone aggregates have been mined from the Davis Quarry by various owners and operators. In 2007, BORAL Construction Materials purchased the Quarry operations in Davis from Arbuckle Materials. In the last couple years, many positive changes have been made to the Quarry and its operations. As the future progresses, we will continue to focus on the core fundamentals that have brought success to our quarrying operations and continue delivering exceptional customer service our customers have come to expect.
In the 1970s as the Schwarz Ready mix business grew, the need for an internal source of sand became evident. At that time, the purchase of Stephens Sand and Wullich Bros was made. In 2007, during the purchase of Schwarz Ready Mix, the sand operations were integrated with BORAL Aggregates. Today, Boral Aggregates dredges sand along the Canadian River near Jones, and operates the largest electric dredge in the state. Our teams of dedicated, safety-focused employees work to produce quality sand products and blended materials, and strive to provide one of the friendliest, customer-oriented sand businesses in Oklahoma.
